Domainite.com Freelance Writing Jobs

Domainite.com is an online business that provides print materials, logo and graphic design assistance, social media marketing, website design, and Internet marketing help. If you take a look at the official website, there is a contact phone number at the head of the homepage, and a list of the services this business has to offer.

I have spotted countless ads on Craigslist asking writers to work for Domainite.com. This company is apparently always on the lookout for new writers that can handle blog posts and daily articles. However, you must have a Paypal account (easy enough), and you MUST be available to work on weekends (Hmmm).

Did I mention the pay? Well, it's $1 per 100 words you write. Again, here is another business that pays one cent per word, which is extremely low. However, if you're a fast writer, this can potentially amount to something worthwhile. I have spoken with writers that craft 500-word articles for $5, but they only spend about 10 minutes writing them. If you're one of these writers, then maybe Domainite.com is an opportunity to consider.

On Domainite.com, you will find a writer's application that must be filled out so you can be considered for the $1 per 100 words payday. Okay, that sounds a bit sarcastic, but when you think about it, if it takes you an hour to write a 500-word piece, then $5 is not going to cut it. The reality is $5 for an hour of labor is not even minimum wage, and the employer is then breaking the law.

I found a few negative reviews posted online from writers that worked for Domainite.com. One writer stated that she spent the better part of a day on a piece that was less than 300 words, and then the editor/owner of Domainite.com stated that it wasn't even suitable, and then denied her payment.

In conclusion, I certainly don't recommend that you waste your time on writing jobs like Domainite.com. It's better to find freelance writing gigs that really pay a living wage. Avoid these people who're trying to take advantage of your skills and time so they can make their fortune.

Domainite.com SUCKS! Trust me, this guy posts ads all over Craigslist, and he does not pay well at all. Search online for writer feedback on Domainite. You will see exactly what I am talking about. He essentially wants you to work your butt off, and then he may or may not pay you anything. It's just sad! Too many crappy businesses out there these days.

Thanks for the feedback, Concerned Freelance Writer. Could you elaborate at all on your personal experience with Domainite.com? What type of articles or blog posts were you asked to write? Please let us know. Thanks.

Let me give you the scoop on Domainite.com. First of all, this website/company is not a scam. They basically offer writing jobs to freelancers and editors. Will this job pay your bills; absolutely not! Here is how it works, you can select articles to write or edit. You are paid $1 for every 100 words you write. Editors are paid 25 cents for every 100 words they edit.

Before you get started with Domainite, you have to be accepted as a writer or editor. My thoughts are, who wants to apply for a writing job that pays you $1 for every 100 words you craft? Who wants to edit 100 words for 25 cents? This pay rate is absolutely absurd if you reside in areas like the US, Canada or Europe. Maybe writers living in third-world countries appreciate the writing and editing jobs that Domainite provides. As for me, I would not waste my time.

As a freelance writer, I earn 10 cents per word and higher, depending on the intensity of the assignment. There are other freelance writers, copywriters, and editors who make a lot more than I do. The key is to market yourself. Contact businesses and find out if they need a professional writer or editor to create new content, blog pages, press releases, or articles to help them market their businesses. This is the way to make an actual wage as a freelancer.

Domainite is basically another content mill-type business. If you choose this route, you will soon become very disgruntled, hateful, angry, and depressed. Trust me; I've seen other writers tackle content mill jobs. It gets them nowhere fast. I hope this post helps millions of freelance writers and editors to avoid scam jobs and content mills that pay absurdly low rates. Have a wonderful day!

Hi Joseph, thanks for the information regarding Domainite.com. Unfortunately there are more and more businesses like this one. I agree with you, if you are serious about freelance writing and generating real income with your skill set, you should not waste your efforts on this type of "writing job." You'd be better off just writing for yourself. What I mean by this is you could start your own blog and monetize it with ads or affiliate links. This can earn you money for many years to come.

$1 for every 100 words??? Are you kidding me? This is utterly laughable. It's not even minimum wage. That is, unless the copy is complete drivel. The individual who runs Domainite must have no integrity whatsoever. This wage is ridiculous, and he or she should be ashamed! As for all of you writers out there, you can make so much more money if you create your own blogs, as already stated. Furthermore, try emailing and cold-calling businesses. This is a real way to find legitimate freelance work. There really are businesses that need writers and editors. Some of them don't place job listings online, but they're happy to work with you when you pitch your services. You just need to tell them what you can bring to the table to improve their marketing and online visibility.

Thanks for all the info everyone. It's best to know this stuff before getting started. Not sure how any writer or editor would ever make a living with wages like Domainite.com provides. I bet the owner is making a fortune off of a lot of naive writers and editors.

There used to be a lot of work at Domainite, as much as you could handle, for both writers and editors. Those days are gone. There has been little-to-no work available for about five months now. At first it was because they were "switching payment systems" and then it was that they were fixing a couple of other things and now it's just been months of "there are no updates" so don't bother. Domainite is dead.

They used to pay on time as well. Like clockwork. You would file your invoice on Friday and be paid on Sunday, Monday at the latest. This has been slipping along with the work availability. Nothing like having to haggle and constantly bother people just to get paid for your work.

I actually think 1 cent per word (which is about average online) is fair, since they get the clients for you. But who are these guys that supposedly produce 500-word articles in 5 minutes? It's tough enough just to type 500 words in 5 minutes, let alone do that with the research that precedes it. They are lying to you.

Domainite is NOT worth your time. Any company/business that offers $1 per 100 words is awful and is basically a slave wage. I do NOT encourage others to try Domainite.com for freelance writing opportunities. It is essentially a content mill. You're better off writing for yourself and creating niche a website or blog with ad revenue or affiliate links. Better money in the long run.
