Great links for new freelance writers! I have acquired jobs through several of them, so I know they work. The key is being aggressive and sending out lots of email responses. You really have to go after them. Don't be shy!

I totally agree with you Nancy! The key as a freelance writer is to pursue a number of gigs/jobs. The leads you encounter on these websites should be responded to immediately. So all you writers out there, go ahead and take the initiative to respond to ads you encounter right away. Imagine all the other people that may be responding to the same writing gigs. Just remember to have your updated resume ready to go! A great resume and prompt response go a long ways!
