Screenwriting for Income

Do you write screenplays? This is one form of writing I absolutely love doing in my spare time. It's not just about writing for extra income or to pay the monthly bills. Screenwriting is an entirely different craft in my book. It's not technical writing, nor is it SEO content work. Crafting a screenplay is a way to vent your imagination, escape from reality and just have fun with writing!

While I have yet to sell a screenplay, I have received some good feedback thus far. If you have ever considered writing a movie script or fleshing out some whacky idea in your head, you should go for it. You really never know if you're sitting on a gold mine. You could have that new and amazing film concept that some production company has been searching for.

Naturally there is a certain format to writing screenplays. It's not like writing fiction! Screenwriting is its own art. Less is more and certain elements are necessary to produce a good script. I will discuss this further in the future. However, if you've ever been curious about screenwriting or even crafting a short, then you should waste no time in getting started. While there are countless others striving to sell their next masterpiece, there is always room for another great idea!

Craigslist Traffic?

Here's the thing; we all want more traffic to our websites and/or blogs. At least those of us who want to earn a nice passive residual income. Every web guru known to man states over and over again that it's all about the traffic! If you want to earn more from programs like Google Adsense, Yahoo Publisher and affiliate sites, you must get more traffic! Well, what about Craigslist traffic?

It's been said before and countless web publishers and bloggers are taking advantage of it. It's FREE Craigslist traffic. Basically you post somewhere on Craigslist and leave your link or links behind. Heck, now someone has even written a manual about how to attain major traffic from Craigslist. Could there be a catch?

Well, while we all want as much free web traffic as we can muster, achieving ample Craigslist traffic may be easier said than done. Unfortunately numerous regulars on the Craigslist scene despise bloggers and web publishers leaving their links behind. Even though you may not be trying to sell them anything, they tend to brand your postings as SPAM. Yes, this can really stink! One moment you're creating a post for Craigslist and a minute later it's deleted.

So you may want to do a bit more research prior to using sites like Craigslist to get traffic. Or, at least be tactful when creating posts to bring more traffic in. Be honest, post in the right category and actually give people what you pitch to them in your Craigslist post. This can make all the difference.
